To all my friends who helped with this, here is where I had my final Spinal Cord Simulator implant this morning. I'm told it can take well over 24hrs to reach full effectiveness but, 12 hrs later, it's already reduced my experience of pain by 70%. Thank you everyone who helped! Xxxx

My first posts in ages. I'm in the middle of surgery on my back. I had a trial with an external Spinal Cord Simulator and it was amazing - it reduced my experience of pain by 80-100%. I was due to get the permanent implant but my wounds got infected. It'll happen soon. Until then - pain, Pain, PAIN!

Back news: the trial Spinal Cord Simulator ended up getting rid of 80-100% of my pain. It was taken out last Tuesday and within hours I was in agony again. Permanent implant happens on 26th. Then the pain just *goes* for at least 10 years!
