I just want to shout something really quick. US ENERGY INDEPENDENCE HAS BEEN A US DOMESTIC POLICY GOAL FOR OUR ENTIRE FUCKING LIVES AND IT WAS ACHIEVED BECAUSE OF BIDEN'S POLICIES! Further, we are taking the W and using that independence to transition us to a cleaner energy future.

Which means that the US is not importing the energy it used to, not that it is using more. Also, even if it's no longer burned as fuel, fossil fuels are still used as the base for a lot of chemicals used in society.

But it’s not an *ideologically pure* cleaner energy future so it’s basically the exact same thing as sinking a million new wells while actively setting forests on fire, don’t you know
