The fundamental problem is that Democrats don't think Palestinians are people who deserve to live, but rather dogs to be put down. So any affirmation of humanity forces them to confront their own actions and might make dems feel sorta sad. Can't have that.

I think the fundamental problem is that the pro-Israel lobby has an enormous amount of political power and the pro-Palestinian lobby is non-existent.
