For a time I could say Jethro Tull was my favorite band, but I only saw them once live (The "War Child" tour) at the "Fabulous Forum" which had terrible acoustics at the time. The volume was too low, plus Anderson was in a shitty mood and he cut the concert short by about 30 minutes.

Just read a great book on the historic Jesus. What shocked me was the constant brutality of that era. Decades of rape, killing children, executions for any reason or no reason at all. Whole towns burned to the ground. Not surprising we still carry some of that even now.

On pickle jars I go straight to a butter knife and wedge it in to break the vacuum seal. Don’t even try twisting the lid!

The program works best at isolating vocals or replacing bass & drums. But totally removing vocals is hit & miss. If they were mixed loudly, you get phasing & artifacts. Half these songs worked great but I had to plug holes on the others. Still, I think it's a fun project.

If I still had the multi-track reel to reel masters this would be no big deal, but they are either gone or not easily accessible. I never thought I could go back and work with these songs at the cellular level. Ironically, making karaoke versions of songs doesn't always work.
