God, if it wasn't clear, this was written to support the post it is in responce to, and lay out historical contexts for those interested.

Samaritans were often perceived as assholes. Thats why it was 'the' good Samaritan - their goodness was an exception. And his point was that your neighbor was everyone. Or could be anyone. That how we treat each other is more important than relation by blood or geography. 3/3

So a good way to sus out how 'broadly' the teacher interpreted the law was to ask, 'the law says to love my neightbor, who is my neighbor'. Almost everyone can agree your local community were, and some might agree as much as a nation. 2/

Not being easily able to find the post you reference, Ill helpfully provide: The question of who is my neighbor was not a random question. There were many teachers of the law doing the gather disciples and travel and teach thing. And interpretation of the law varied among teachers 1/

Right, but the SCOTUS isn't the legislature - this is the judges appointing an advocate for one side, not an interested party (congress) choosing an advocate to represent their side. To treat these cases an analogous implies SCOTUS is a party of interest against the appealent.

the term used to refer to those controlling the weather is "they". From MTG's history of anti-semetic conspiracies, i am quite certain 'They' are not the US government.

This is regarding the Musk lawsuit against media matters for truthfully reporting about antisemitism on Xitter. It shouldn't have gotten this far under US 1A law, but this judge is well known for a recent string of cases that deviate from precedent.

IF the press were honest, they'd lose a lot of money. Finances require a close race. Vance is already losing, kicking him while hes down doesn't pay the bills, supposedly.

They are not criminally liable for official acts. Whether people listen to blatently illegal orders is a different thing, as we saw with trump.
