The plan is to hand over 21 Bergepanzer 2 from Bundeswehr stocks to the industry, which will then convert them into mine-clearing tanks before they are being delivered. It is highly likely that these will be WiSENT 1 MC mine clearing tanks, of which Germany has already delivered 52 to Ukraine. 2/4

The vehicles which are being sold by FFG are based on the Leopard 1 chassis and are equipped with route opening mine ploughs from Pearson Engineering. Ukraine uses them very successfully during the Kursk offensive, for example. 3/4
