my only problem with her is that I wish she would write the humans less cis-centric. it's cool that all aliens treat gender completely differently in their cultures, but humans still seem very agab and binary focused and I believe there are no human trans characters :/
this author fascinates me because on paper her books should be boring to me (mostly dialogue, mostly low stakes, almost no big threats, climax is a problem that seems to be there for quota) and yet she has me glued to the pages because I need to know more about these people.
Hezbollah was repeatedly bombing into Israeli space even after Israel pulled out of Lebanon— so “if Israel just gets to the agreement line everyone will behave” theory isn’t it. Which isn’t to say that escalation like this imho is the move, but few on the left acknowledge this fact & it does matter
Bald Praxiserfahrung in Burnout?
also has a very good name for datapads: scrib. so mad I can't steal this
I once used "minicalc" for something that was definitely not just a smartwatch
even more annoying if you write in german because german terms don't feel right for futuristic stuff but why would everyone be using english terms???
