Description A hollow reed used by those with medical knowledge as a means of releasing fluid build up and blood-letting in more difficult patients. The soft, minute barbs along the shaft of this reed dig into flesh when attempting to remove it. This allows the tip to break off, rooting itself deeper into the patient's flesh and proving difficult to extract without further incisions. Uncommon, though typically found growing around still water that holds the blood of many men.
