We're debating whether WRM in KS1/2 goes too fast/covers too much. Our sec dept would rather we secured multiplication facts and number in primary and a genuine love of Maths through investigation. I taught Y6 yesterday and there were so many misconceptions, I'm inclined to agree. What do you think?

Hell yeah. 20 years teaching & moderating Y2 here. Far too fast/too much except for a miniscule number of children by 7 yrs old. Focus is on tenuous evidence to prove GD right from the off.
