My First Internet AOL Dial-up I overclocked the modem to 19.2 and had to wait until after 9pm due to the number being Local Long Distance. Then we had to pay by the minute with certain time plans being available. If you went over it was so much a minute. I installed the modem and 16x CDRW myself

My first internet was dial up and we had to listen to modem screechy noise to get connected to internet. Good ol’ days

One day I encountered a line drawing of a shirtless man in a towel. Gods, it was perfect. I’d download it then get paranoid and delete it. Just to do it again. Let it go in the background while I explored spiritually and played Civ. I’d love to find that pic and frame it.
