Wiki-ing Deep Purple as I watch the BBC4 show. Ritchie Blackmore bio is a bit random: 'He is a heavy drinker and watches German language television on his satellite dish when he is at home. He has several German friends and a collection of about 2,000 CDs of Renaissance music.'
