Small Pet Rodent Awareness Week is dedicated to improving the health and welfare of pet rodents. While they have traditionally been called "starter pets," rodents take a lot of care and knowledge to be happy and healthy!

Many items sold in pet stores aren't safe or recommended, but thankfully I've noticed that there has been a shift towards larger cage sizes, less plastic, and less sugar in treats and foods. Be sure to do your research! Your pet will thank you!
