It's so weird bc these same people had sober discussions with me about how careful I had to be about everything. They know a paper cut will abscess bc they have had to treat it. It's topsy turvy. It's really changed my relationship with them.

They were concerned about you because they perceive you as being unlucky/cursed. They think they are too smart for it to happen to them. After all they are clearly super to the rest of us. They are at Yale!
