A fun thing about ADHD: You know how when you have an appointment or meeting, you can't do anything BEFORE it because you're worrying/preparing/waiting for it and you can't do anything AFTER it because you're exhausted from all the anticipation/worry? Okay, so that, but the thing is a HURRICANE.

Oh yeah. Only for me it's thunderstorms and WILDFIRES as in "do I need to evacuate the horses?" (Horses are in summer pasture which is more vulnerable). But the same sort of paralysis, yes.

the best way I've been able to describe it is like a mental paralysis -- I KNOW I need to do the thing, I know bad things will happen if I DON'T do the thing, I sincerely WANT to do the thing, but I physically cannot make myself move. Yours is still better.

In other news, I cleaned out the vacuum, vacuumed, scrubbed the spots on the carpet, folded laundry, watered plants, and cleaned out the cabinets. But can I open the book? Can I edit? Can I write? No. I'M WAITING FOR THE HURRICANE OK.
