Right. That was my point as well. The tragedy is that most of us have been conditioned not to see it that way. No scientific authority has explicitly told us to ignore the risk but pretty much but every public policy decision has. Eg, no masking in health care settings & 1-day isolation periods.

Right. I wish more people understood. The difference between you and someone vulnerable to Long Covid is just time. Either you get to be old, acquire a new health problem, or are reinfected until your luck runs out. Key detail: past COVID-19 is a comorbidity that puts you at increased risk.

I’ve been hollering about this for a while now. The difference between you and someone vulnerable to Long Covid is just time. Either you get to be old, acquire a new health problem, or are reinfected so often that your luck runs out. NB: Having had covid in the past puts you at increased risk.

I think this is Netanyahi’s October Surprise and expect Putin will do something unconscionable next.

…one that isn’t N95 (some air will zip right in past your coated nostrils) and that only covers your nose. Still, a big win as an additional layer if this pans out. Would love a way to be safer at the dentist.

I’ll get a Novavax next time. It has fewer side effects and far as I can tell it isn’t any more or less useful than the MRNA shots.

Blocking here works great. I block everyone I don’t want to spend time on and my low-conflict bluesky experience has been quite nice.
