It wiggles everytime i scroll it up and down, awesome effect!
I've avoided entering writing competitions (w financial rewards given to top entries) because the hosts used AI art for the cover banners announcing said competitions. It's astonishing how fellow creatives are willing to throw collaborators under the bus like that!
It's like seeing a spot of mold on bread. That might be it, or it could have mycelium all through it, so the best thing to do is toss it.
A list should start bein made for companies that start doin this bs, that folks, both creatives and consumers, would kno to unsubscibe and avoid.
I’m dropping subscriptions all over the place because of it. myNoise uses genAI (currently for images, and also vocalises support for it) Insight Timer does too (images)
We need to mock those publications/podcasts/whatever. Relentlessly.
Right? If it's AI on the outside why should I assume they gave any more of a shit about the inside?
Name and shame. At the end of last year Mikateko Media used an AI generated image for the cover of an issue of The Big Issue and I was absolutely disgusted.
Local publisher that I otherwise respect has started using generative AI for book covers. At first just for a tiny and brand new imprint, but recently for one of their major releases. Apart from anything else, it looks *terrible*. I'm so disgusted it's really turned me off buying any of their books.Local publisher that I otherwise respect has started using generative AI for book covers.
