Thanks! Noga-Banai has a very thorough and fascinating discussion of what we know (and don’t) about Rome in Sacred Stimulus, and there’s an article on Stephen's popularity in early medieval Roman monasteries (Costambeys and Leyser in Hillner/Cooper, Religion, Dynasty, Patronage).
Bourges Cathedral, dedicated to Stephen, has a wonderful narrative in a 13th century stained glass window of the legend of the invention and translation of the relics
