In October 2019, on Yom Kippur 5780, a right-wing terrorist attacked the synagogue in Halle. When he failed to get into the synagogue, he ended up shooting at passers-by on the street and killed Jana L. On the way to the Kiezdöner bistro, he shot at several people and murdered Kevin S. While fleeing the scene of the crime, he tried to run over the black passer-by Aftax I.
