I'd find that so fun as a kind of dialogue with the game master. It would be fun to be kept on my toes and just work with what's coming. Definitely a your milage may vary situation, though, that has to be based in trust and negotiated consent for parameters.

Oh 100 percent! I just had a concept for a TTRPG that had demons making pacts with humans but the humans not really knowing much. I wondered if rolling a random demon might be compelling and I'm sure the answer would be yes for some; but both having players choose or random works in the end!
