@scourgefrontiers.bsky.social was an amazing friend for this and helped me put my hyperfix to good use by taking on related work. One I did was for a commissioner who wanted a Knuckles and Julie-Su proposal.

To not overdo it and just make it a chain, the second of those completed so far was focused on one person's interpretation of what Anti-Elias would be like (Eli for simplicity) along with the Suppression Squad. Ah, right #Sonicthehedgehog

Eli, the man once known as prince Anti-Elias of Moebius, found himself staring ahead as he stood at the edge of the Grand Forest. The winds of change were blowing, and it was time for him to move on. Yet, there was a sense of nostalgia, a pull that even he wasn't immune to.

He didn't let that tie to the past keep him from his future, however, even as he heard familiar footsteps behind him. He turned his head just a little, hearing a voice call to him.

"Eli?"

Turning, he looked to see his sister, Anti-Sally, also called Alicia Acorn. She was the ruler of Moebius now, at least in name. "Sister. You look well."

"I would be better if I knew where you were off to," said Alicia with a bit of snark, but there was something beneath that, a kind of genuine care.

For a moment, a soft smile came to Eli' lips. "It's good to see you too, sister."

Alicia held her arm, quiet. The two were alone for that moment, or so it seemed. "Brother, what are you doing?"

"I'm leaving. There's nothing left

"I don't know why you would leave when you have power at your fingertips. After all, your sister is ruler now, no?" Patch asked, as if to convince him.

"In name, yes, but even that will fade. Just like Scourge's rule. Just like father's. Just like Anti-Jules'."

"Not if you stay and help," said Alicia, trying to persuade him.

There was a moment where Eli was about to speak, his fist clenched, but he released it, sighing before he went to Alicia, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You know how I feel about the monarchy. How I've felt since father's rule. There's a reason I was never squabbling with you for the rulership. All it is in the end is fools grasping and fighting for power that will be wrested from them. Right or wrong, good or bad, it's all determined by the person at the top, robbing those principles of meaning. I would rather lead by example as an individual and press to show what those principles mean than twist them to play at being more than I am."

"Quite the speech," M

"Wait, before you go, please promise me this isn't the last time I'll see you," Alicia said to him.

Eli looked at her, seeing the genuine care she had for him. "I can't promise anything else, sister."

"I know, but you're the last family I have," she told him, both of them having disavowed their father.

"I know," he told her quietly before he spoke. "You're stronger than you give yourself credit for, Alicia. Maybe someday you'll see that."

With a wave, Eli started to walk off, leaving the area and the closest people in his life behind. Everyone was silent as he went on without looking back.

The quiet lingered for a fair amount of time until, finally, Alicia spoke. "I guess that's it, then."

"Oui...I will deny it if anyone tells him, but he was reliable," Patch said. From his one good eye, he could see that Alicia was wiping the corner of her eyes.

"Yeah...I was kinda hoping he'd want to join us. To make things better than old times," Boomer admitted.
