I really hope artists embrace sharing there older work with maybe a bit more insight on how you feel about it being so far removed from it cos I’m doing that and the work is getting far more support now then it got when it was new. Heck re render that art with new lighting and make it sparkle ✨

I’ve been uploading all my old art onto instagram and Cara. I want it all in chronological order and to show that everyone starts somewhere. I’m so embarrassed about my old art but I want to have a visual of how much I have progressed when I start getting self doubts.

I second this! I just got a drawing tablet and I am starting to learn how to use different programs and brushes 😅 seeing older projects from more experienced artists would be super cool!

I love repaints and redraws. Often you don't understand your own improvement until you redraw an old work and compare them side by side.

Baby artists need to be reminded that their idols were too once baby artists and the path to progression starts at sucking.

Good thing I have the habit of fixing old art while working on new ones 🤙

Open them files so better lighting and framing and maybe even texture tweaks now you got more experience under yea belt and you can make an older project feel brand new without needing to start from scratch every project.
