The next version of WriteFreely (v0.16) will support Likes from the fediverse! We could use your help reviewing and testing it out here: https://github.com/writefreely/writefreely/pull/1122#WriteFreely#fediverse#WriteFreelyDev

the spammers are getting clever over on github

A WriteFreely Github issie: "Hello everyone,

I’m considering using WriteFreely to power the blog for my jewelry store, Australian Opal Direct (linking to their site), and would love some advice. My main goal is to create engaging content that highlights the beauty and history of opal jewelry while also boosting SEO.

A few questions:

Does WriteFreely support SEO optimizations (like meta tags or sitemaps)?
Are there any themes or plugins that work well for product-focused blogs?
Is it easy to integrate product links within blog posts to drive traffic to specific pages?
Can I easily track content performance using analytics tools?
Thanks in advance for any guidance or tips from the community!"

On a roll today, and have one last little treat coming on @write_as today 😊

They mostly involve bringing #WriteFreely#Writeas. The goal is to have all features available in WF by v0.17!

Just updated our workboard for new features coming in the next few #WriteFreelyhttps://todo.musing.studio/tag/writefreely/#WriteFreelyDev

Still need to test how well this works today, but just fixed compilations errors with our command-line utility for migrating between @writefreely instances. https://github.com/writefreely/wf-migrate#WriteFreely#WriteFreelyDev

Each has its own requirements and small differences -- what metadata do we reveal or send along? what content do we show? what format is it in? etc.

Okay, got the #fediverse#WriteAs#WriteFreely really is a mess. Needs a major refactor

Finishing up a new integration on @write_as (announcing soon), and looking at our cross-posting usage. It's really fallen off -- only 4 posts sent out this year. I think the feature made the most sense when Twitter was around.
