I just have regular sheep and they will mess you up when they get hormonal! 😂 I’m glad these sheep are headed to a zoo so they can be in safe hands
They can hybridize with the local wild sheep, which genetically aren't great with highly separated populations. Additionally, the region is terrified of diseases that can be spread to wild animals from domestic. So only dangerous if mismanaged, which this guy was doing
Yeah, these are a wild sheep species, so I wouldn't judge their dangerousness based on domesticated sheep. Especially the males (I assume the males would be more in demand as hunting trophy animals). Though the threats are probably mostly biological (disease and genetics related).

It may harm native animal populations and the potential spreading of diseases (especially the wasting disease that did kill two) is so dangerous. Prion diseases are terrifying.
They have five foot long horns and can hit 300 pounds. If they were territorial, for example, that could be very bad indeed.
