A paper by some of the biggest names in scientific integrity is retracted for issues including misstatements about the research plan.
Confirmation bias is very strong with some people but come on. We're supposed to be scientists. We should actually care about the evidence and the methods. "I believe what I believe and I won't let facts get in the way of my faith" doesn't quite signal any interest in science.

You need a giant sign that says, like, "the study design can't test the effect of the protocol because the protocol is held constant"
They way they characterize Joe and especially you is INFURIATING. Not like the "titans of the field."
It doesn't sound like they're doing much "soul-searching." Or perhaps they're just not finding anything.
Speaking of not reading, I made it to ‘titans in the field’ and really struggled with keeping my eyes from rolling back into my head.
