I'm saying that Israelis are trying to survive right now and that makes it really hard to fight for progressive movements right now. Moreover, Israel is still one of the most progressive countries in the world, where a gay man's trans husband can get gender affirming care paid for by UHC.

It's THE most progressive state in the entire Greater Middle East. So what about all the work that Israelis have done to make it so? Hmm? It's falling backwards because right now people are going around falsely labeling Israelis as colonizers, genociders, baby killers, etc.
