How can a natural disaster be punishment for sin if churches continue to lack a barrage of fire and brimstone for their corruption? Is Christianity a license for sin, since it apparently can fester unchecked within its believers? Does morality only matter for those outside the religion?

If Christians sin as much as non-Christians but Christian sin lacks supernatural punishment, then it seems as if Christians are held less accountable for their actions: a license to sin. How can one claim moral authority then?
