We have made the conscious decision that for games we review, we will try NOT to use rules videos. We feel that the rulebook should be considered as part of the review and stand on its on without needing to watch a video for a teach or rules clarification.
We got in 2 more games of Lord of the Rings Duel. No ties this time! First game was won by the map victory condition, the second was by getting to the end of the quest track. Note: We did decide before the game that the 2nd tie breaker was furthest on the track followed by most unique Faction tokens
I haven't thought of it like that. But yeah kinda because you use the Green Cards to get access to a faction token. If you have one of every faction token, you can also win that way
It's not a retheme at all. There are no points in the game. As the Fellowship you race to take the ring to Mordor unless Sauron can catch you first. And you battle over control over regions on a map. So you place units, move units and resolve conflicts.
oh and yes. That Dutrait art is stunning
The map element. With drafted cards, you can place units on the board and move them around. If at anytime you are present in all regions, you win. It's also the tiebreaker if no one gets to the end of the quest track. It just need another tie breaker element. Definitely not a retheme of 7W Duel
After two straight ties in Lord of the Rings Duel, I think I may house rule another tie breaker. Ties are anti-climactic
