Same. Violently repulsive.
Indeed. Why stop at replacing jobs when you can literally replace people, apparently.
The average person would never want to use a ghoulish product like this, but the average corporation would love to offer a few sessions with an AI grandma instead of providing bereavement leave to their employees.
Anyone who says they want to see the “complete and total eradication of grief” vastly overrates what bots will be able to do but also speaks to how tech solutionists misunderstand what it means to exist in the world. A hollow amalgam of a loved one’s utterances can never replace what is lost.
Tech entrepreneur Justin Harrison is on a mission to fundamentally change how we experience loss, using artificial intelligence to recreate the essence of dead loved ones from their digital footprint....
This is viscerally repulsive and should be banned. That tech bro needs therapy. Utterly loathsome, and yet we're still being told that AI is great and trans people are dangerous. I categorically refuse to grant the rights for ANY AI to use ANYTHING I have EVER created. AI does not replace people.

- The acting is good, Bill Skarsgard is well cast, the character designs don't look as bad in action, even the soundtrack is good (not like that horrible track on the trailer) and there're some of the most grimly inventive fight scenes I've seen in ages. It's not goth, though, and that's OK. 3/3
- different storyline to the comic and original film. I have no idea why they even called the leads Eric and Shelley. If this had been marketed as another sequel (it should've been) it's easily the best Crow sequel to date (and I say this liking all of them, even the daft David Boreanaz one) 2/
I watched The Crow (2024) last night and it's actually a banger film. I was surprised how good it is, as the promo photos and trailer were rubbish. They made a HUGE mistake marketing it as a remake - not only alienating the original fans, but totally misrepresenting it, as it's a totally 1/
I was going through a bunch of old work pictures while I was trying to find something for my Cara profile and came across this - "Don't you touch that, don't you fucking dare, you little...", oil on canvas, 8x10", 2021 (commission)
God this is grim. I am so sorry and I hope they are released soon. Disgusting they were imprisoned to begin with.
