Have you also tried sjlabelled? It's the one I'm using currently, and I'm wondering about pros and cons.

Just this morning, in response to bsky.app/profile/klau... I don't exactly remember it, but it belongs to the list of labeling packages, ofc. My driving interest was to add more information to a codebook than the variable names and values, which {sjlabelled} most likely does (I have not checked)
