I obsessively listen to my work in progress as well, but I'm weird about letting stuff go out. I definitely work better with an imposed 'get your shit together' deadline. Most tracks sit at 90% for at least a year, and the final sequencing is the thing that normally makes it all slot into place.

Intermittent RCD tripping in the house seriously messing with my zen at the moment, and just when I'm really in the mood to write tunes as well. But then I pulled out the iPad last night and once again wondered why I have a bunch of hardware (other than being physical is fun).

I reckon this is the entire next phase of WRNTDP - where the councils brought in management consultants and started to operationalise planning processes to optimise fiscal efficiency.
Yeah. It's cute and some will have a lot of fun with it, but I'm disappointed it's not going to be a lightweight live performance brain. Can see why they're going that way though.
