Much talked about over the last few days about how the Lebanese army secretly hopes Hezb loses (there's no real evidence for this) and now the Lebanese army announces an hour and a half ago that it returned fire at the IDF after one of their soldiers was killed by the Israelis.

Israeli strikes pummel south and Beqaa as security source tells MEE Lebanese army will fight alongside Hezbollah if invaded
The Lebanese government and its army could've routed Hezbollah if it was a truly popular demand; the UNIFIL forces have remained for that exact reason; what DOESN'T help Israel bring that about is its indiscriminate bombardment of a city hundreds of miles from Hezbollah's strongholds.
