Just awful. Arguably began with Putin's scorched earth campaign in Grozny, & "refined" in Syria. Netanyahu realized the world wouldn't stop him, so he's intensified it in Gaza & Lebanon. Serves ISR's imperial-genocidal aims, but also a new avenue for selling defense tech to other repressive regimes.
I think it was Kirby who was crying and saying "we can't allow this to become normal in war" when Russia hit a Ukrainian hospital. Fast forward less than a year and suddenly it's valid to hit not just one hospital, but to completely destroy almost all of them leaving only a few damaged remnants.
This seems... ineffective? The moment they try to put boots on the ground, they're going to get destroyed, as has been the case in Lebanon. Not only that, but these offensives must be lidicrously expensive. That's putting aside the obvious monsterousness of it.
