It is amusing to me that the Emiratis want Biden to reopen the Palestinian consulate in east Jerusalem as the barest of minimum gestures *when he had already promised to do that when he ran in 2020 and then subsequently failed to do so for three and a half years*.

If Blinken presents this proposal it will rightly be rejected by the PLO and thus also the overwhelming majority of the Arab world.
