Lately? Is that because the dislike is now in the open or because previously Dutch people could pinpoint what they dislike about foreigners? I would argue the former - Dutch society always had an unhealthy dose of racism, but lately more and more people feel they can actually express it.

Used to be “bad immigrants”=Muslims, people would cite terrorism etc. But terror is off the agenda in NL, rarely cited. Used to say “East Euros scam our welfare” but not since the toeslagenaffaire. Now it’s “they drive up house prices”, but ppl can’t really justify that argument
