AB 3093 is so dumb. It adds RHNA reporting requirements for “acutely low income” households (~15% of AMI). There are very few units restricted at this level, because it’s a fairly new category. But also, these households are commonly served by 30% AMI units paired with vouchers. (Cont’d)

Restricting a unit at 15% of AMI can be actively harmful because it makes it easy to become over-income with a minimum-wage job or social security check. This law just gives legislators a sense of false precision.
