How long does it take you to paint an average squad of Boyz? I’m getting into Tau but I’ve spent like 10 hours painting my first squad and wondering if I’ll get faster or if I’m just uniquely bad at this

You will definitely get faster with practice in my recent experience. Most importantly you’ll learn how to hold the model and the brush in ways that really help to steady your hands. Also the old “slow is smooth, smooth is fast” adage really holds here.

To be honest, that sounds quite normal. You could probably be a bit faster if you change some techniques. How are you painting your minis right now?
