Basically just following the Midwinter minis video on how to paint your first models (base coat, dry brush, layer other colors, add wash, add highlights). Did my first model all the way through then batch painted 2-3 at a time for the rest

That's pretty solid. Midwinter has some great videos. You can try out slapchop as well. That one involves priming a model black, then drybrushing it with greys/whites, building up the highlights that way, and then using speed/Contrast paints. Its a great technique, esp if you like drybrushing.
