Reading these stories together, you realize that a single reclusive conservative billionaire compensated for the entire difference in Kamala and Trump's fundraising with a single $150 million check.
His views about social safety nets and race are what you would expect. Guy born on home plate thinks he worked hard but everyone is dependent on people like him. At least he’ll probably die of old age and hate soon. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy...

Money is speech, or so they say. Never a clearer example of the anti-democratic train having long since left the station. Kamala's hundreds of thousands of voices equal the voice of one billionaire.
I don’t understand why the guy is holding back so much. Doesn’t he love Donald? Doesn’t he want to make America Great again? He doesn’t seem very loyal. He needs to give a lot more to prove himself. Is he serious about buying an election or isn’t he? Put your money where your mouth is, ya bum.
He's not the only reclusive billionaire Trump has. I suspect reclusive = paranoid, and if you are a billionaire, paranoid makes sense. Then a strongman makes sense. You have bought him, how could he turn on you?
Let us all waste his money, shall we. Flush that shit right down the crapper. Vote Blue. 💙💙💙
The good news is that the Trump family will steal 90% of that $150mil before the campaign ever sees it. I mean, Junior's drug habit alone runs to six figures a day.
in 2016 and 2020 Trump did get a fair amount of small dollar donations and that showed real excitement for him. But this cycle he's mostly just surviving on a couple big donors and that's why I think there's likely some weakness in his polling numbers. People who give money are more likely to vote.
Also Harris only announced direct donations. Victory Fund has even more money. Future Forward has even more money. TLDR - Advantage Harris on the $’s / paid media front the rest of the way.
SuperPac spending is much more inefficient. So Mellon’s $s don’t fully bridge the gap.
