The best reason to read is for pleasure. Read for learning, to be sure, but cultivate the habit of reading for your own delight. Give yourself permission to enjoy a comfy chair, a lovely beverage, and a wonderful book.

Pleasure is also the best reason to learn. I think we'd be a lot better educated if people understood that.
