Dry conditions and breezy winds will lead to near critical fire weather conditions today. Southerly and southeasterly winds of 10 to 18 mph with gusts of 20 to 30 mph are forecast for this afternoon and evening. Minimum relative humidity values of 25 to 35 percent are also expected. High temperatures today will climb into the upper 60s to middle 70s. A cold front will move from northwest to southeast across northwest Wisconsin this evening. Winds will turn west-northwest behind the front. Together, these conditions could lead to the rapid spread of fires. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before burning.
