Self-talk about research = some combo between the above. Def a “gfys” energy oscillating with “wow! How exciting and cool it is to think about this stuff”. Sort of all over the place. #teamrhetoric

As a teenager, I was really interested in being a journalist. On "practical" and "financial" grounds, I decided against it only to...go into academia??

The technical sense of rhetoric is crucial but can too easily cover over a deeper sense of the epistemological and ontological dimensions of language and writing

What does writing do for what we think/feel? How does it help us understand the world around us and our place in it?

There’s so much promise for further research from this theory of writing but I haven’t heard or seen much about this book. Was published nearly 15 years ago. Highly recommend reading it
