I think Biden should step down. His chances of winning the electoral college were a good bit under 50% according to leading models prior to the debate. Debate was a chance to make up ground, but he did so much worse than anyone had thought possible. Went from dire to hopeless.

There are several compelling candidates that democrats could rally behind and independents would be very happy voting for.
