The point of “they like Trump and want him to win” is not a belief that a supermajority of reporters are proudly tilting coverage. It’s this: If they cared to rebut it, they would be forced to explain why their orgs cannot bring themselves to apply the same standards to all parties.

that makes sense to me, but i'm having a hard time reading that as something other than a bad-faith attack intended to force a rebuttal, which i think people tend to respond poorly to for what i assume are obvious reasons
