hmm why wouldn't a free speech zealot want people interviewing his students about how they like their peterson academy coursework? slate.com/life/2024/10...

My fellow students were achingly sincere. But what, exactly, were we learning?

a friend reshared some AI slop of children with cute animals they found on IG. it was innocent enough, but i had to point it out to them that "this is not real, it's computer generated". why bother? because it pervades this other kind of malicious use. you gotta squash AI slop everywhere.

Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters is looking to supply the state Department of Education with 55,000 Bibles. Out of 2,900 Bibles, only one fits Walters’ criteria: The Trump Bible.

GOP members of Congress are trying to pitch voters on another term in the majority. There's not much for them to sell.

Yes. Perhaps conservatives are more likely to have content taken down… because they are more likely to spread falsehoods. Fascinating new research that shows *even Republican laypeople* rate the content shared by the right as less truthful. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

We find that conservatives tend to share more low-quality news through social media than liberals, and so even if technology companies enact politically neutral anti-misinformation policies, political...

i guess that "civil war" movie is kind of like this, but i always wondered why no one has made a movie or dramatization of what that day (and the current day) would be like if J6 was a success. simply telling people what that world would be like doesn't work. people need to see it to understand
