I'm so tired of people's misappropriation of language to enforce personal beefs. Transmedicalism isn't just someone seeking out medical transition. It's invalidating other folks' transness through their lack of interaction with such while also pushing standards of medicine to induce suffering.
Lots of them want real life experience to come back too and it's disgusting.
It's "you only are trans if you do these actions"
As someone who medically transitioned, yeah, if any trans person can get by fine without that, more power to them. It was a frustrating, painful, and time consuming and I don't hold it against anyone who isn't dysphoric enough to need to go through all that.
It took me way too long to realize this was one of the fundamental misunderstandings of that whole controversy. People were incorrectly assuming trans people calling other people transmeds were in any way criticizing them for seeking medical care. This lead to a ton of exploited confusion.
Life is too fucking short to get hung up on regulating how people live theirs. Someone doesn't have bottom dysphoria? Doesn't feel like hormones are right for them or are medically appropriate? Can't access care for social or other reasons? Still fucking trans if that's how they identify.
