The British History Podcast is great with its emphasis on stories and what was happening in the society at the time. Also, Revolutions, I never appreciated the complexity of the French Revolution before.
It is a sobering book. While the southwest will deal with the consequences first, the lack of awareness in the Midwest farming states about water issues is terrifying. One would think people would start realizing that you cannot pump your way out of drought forever and that it must be kept clean.
