I'm not sure it would be for me, but visually it would work so well! I think what breaks things like this for me is the idea of transformers being driven rather than giving people rides? Is that a weird and unnecessary distinction? I dunno.

I can understand that. Even in the classic MOTU lore the vehicles are at least minimally sentient, and can buck off unwanted riders or like that.
