I used to joke that the UK should have a sandboxed Internet because they don't have the antibodies to deal with our right wingers. But I think the increasing number of examples perhaps shows that the US needs to be cut off from the rest of the Internet

Unsurprising. Every time a non-white Irish* person posts to TikTok, there's an army of 23-and-me-results-waving folks from outside of Ireland ready to tell everyone in the comments how *they* are Irish but the person posting the TikTok video is not. (*or Scottish, for that matter).
