Call me stupid, but isn't Genesis 12:3 part of the Old Testament, the part of the Bible Jesus supplanted with the New Testament when he visited Earth? I know some biblical quotes which might be appropriate too.
I'm thinking this kind of behavior from *any* elected official, at any level, should be grounds for removal from office. Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Pastafarian, Dudeist, whatever -- none of it has any place in our government.
"I'm sorry, do you think I act under the assumption that God is real?" would have been my answer.
