It's, in terms of the U.S. overton window, center-right, yep. Globally it'd be firmly conservative. Those "mistakes" so much as dogwhistles.

I really like this framing. It’s an endless quest to appeal to the right by the leaders don’t want to offend the fascists in there social circle, that has the pleasant side effect of suppressing worker dissent
